Tires for comfort as DD

40th anniversary Edition
I love my Conti DWS which I have on my daily-driver 2008 40th Anniversary Edition RX8, similar to the Conti DW but with some dedicated thread for snow. I use them year round and they still perform very well in all weather and road conditions and will easily last the 50,000 mile thread warranty guarantee. They even came with an additional one year 12,000 mile tire hazard warranty (which is very unusual in any ultra-performance tire). A great all around tire without sacrificing very much from a summer-dedicated tire in terms of performance, and you will be very thankful to have them on if you get that sudden cloud burst of rain and puddles of water while hot footing it in your RX8. I have owned seven rotary Mazda cars for street and track ,and these are about the best all-season tires I have ever used and I have used all the major brands over 40 years of rotary driving.

DWS sound like an excellent choice and I will likely go that way once my factory tires finally wear out.
However, I feel I should point out that while the DWS has very good grip in the wet, if you want ultimate wet grip, the DW and similar "summer" tires actually have higher wet traction.
It is only when temps are close to freezing that all seasons start to perform better than summer tires. I suspect the worse wet grip is actually due to the harder compound needed to make the tire longer lasting though (another feature of the all season tires).

Hi everyone!
I have a 2010 sport daily driver and I am needing to get new tires. I am looking for a tire with good tread life ( I have 38K on my original tires ) and I do not drive "fast" but I love taking corners at speed.
If I go with the 23.9 inch diameter, 215/35-18 tires will my car be lower to the ground? I do not want to worry about speed bumps and so fourth.
Thank you for any information you can offer.
