After market alarm system
Hello all,
I’ve been cleaning up the engine bay of my 2010 R3. There was a hood closed switch and a purple wire running into the ECU wiring loom.
I cut the purple wire out of the loom (spliced in with solder) and removed the switch. Then pulled both wires through the firewall.
Look at the surprise awaiting me under the dash. Are these 2 black boxes associated with an aftermarket alarm and remote starter? Just want to be sure before I remove it.
Rear of remote starter/alarm (?).
Front of remote starter/ alarm (?).
Smaller associated box rear.
Wiring splices and fuses.
Front of associated box

Hello Stealth - so does this confirm I’m doing surgery tomorrow to remove an alarm system?
Just looking for confirmation since I’ve never had an aftermarket alarm.

Removal of Alarm
Well, here goes nothin if I screw up!
I’ve been tracing wires back to their splices and removing them.
Will cost a fortune at Mazda if this doesn’t start up.
With great fear go I.
