Display issues

I recently had a 2 DIN Sony head unit installed into my 2009 Mazda RX8 R3 but am now encountering a weird issue where the display will alternate between the words "Audio" and "INPUT". When I use the steering wheel controls the menu will change to the appropriate wording (ie. volume up/down, track up/down, etc) but then go back to the Audio/Input words.

Additionally, with the new head unit my temperature gauge seems to still be able to read above 70 deg. I am not sure what the shop did but they did say that they needed to work out the steering wheels control adapter.

Is there anything I can suggest to the guys at the stereo shop to fix the alternating display? Maybe some wiring suggestions?

I have a similar issue. My new stereo and vehucal display keep bouncing between phone menus and audio menu. Even when I unplug the steering wheel control module the car display still flip flops.

Just had my stereo updated with an older firmware version and this seems to have fixed the display issue and now the steering wheel control adapter seems to work as well.
