forgive me if I'm not convinced that a 1.3L Renesis will have the same characteristics as a 5.7+L V8 ....

most any lag would be from the exhaust attempting to spool the turbo, not from filling the intake piping. any half decent turbo will be trying to fill it even at idle versus the old thrust bearing turbos with tighter tolerances and more drag.

I'm surprised there's any positivity in this thread at all. I always liked rear mounts but I assumed the little rotary would have trouble spooling it.

As mentioned though, a proper matched turbo (and heat wrapped hot side piping) really makes all the difference.

The "mid mount" setup sounds cool too. Did it require a pump to return oil like most rear mounts do?
