General Forced Induction Question /s2

Ok I was told the RX8 does not have a MAP sensor. I first wanted to confirm that.

Secondly I wanted to inquire about how the ECU compensates fuel amounts.

From what I understand it senses IAT, MAF Voltage, & AFR. Does it sense anything else to compensate Fuel & timing?

What is the Max Variable the ECU will accept on the MAF sense? (In Grams/sec & Voltage)
Example (300g/s & 5.00Volts) I know the table stops somewhere I am just trying to figure out where.

Where is the best place to get a MazdaEdit tune currently? I would like to do it myself, but I have noticed for around the same price as the software, some tuners will sell you the cable and the software (450)

I want to fully understand how the stock setup works before I plot how to work around certain things. I am developing & Documenting a custom & opensource (hopefully) P.A.C. (Power adder Computer), and trying to find what would need to be sensed for safety reasons.

Correct

.
As it uses a maf sensor , air temp and atmospheric pressure are automatically compensated for . But there are AIT and Baro sensors that make adjustments to the allowable max. calculated load.
Water temp is referenced for fueling at start/warmup.

approx.420grams/sec @ 5V is the max. the stock tube can measure.

I do M/E tunes but don't offer the software or hardware .
Who are these "some tuners" you speak of ?

Appreciate the Answers

Does the ECU fuel cut at a certain point in reference to the 420 g/s?

I am at sealevel so the outside barometric sensor should let me douggie.

Dynotronics was one of the 3 I checked with. The other 2 I do not remember. I can't get Dynotronics to email me back. (Tried 5 times in 3 months), so I am prob going to give up on that idea. When I had my MS3, I spent 3 months just logging stock and reading tables to understand how the stock ECU functions before I remapped it. I feel like I could tune it myself if I could so the same for the RX8, but they are different animals. A guess says that the RX8 will let you make a wrong choice and make you pay for it more than a MS3.

It sounds like a good portion of your questions may be better asked in the mazdaedit thread where more people will see your questions.

Check it: -> https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-eng...daedit-239275/

I didn't want to confuse Series I and Series II stuff since the ECUs apply different logic. I requested a lite copy of the software, and I want to get a stock MAP to play with. I am thinking that is going to answer 90% of what I was asking just by having it.

Still having a bit of trouble keeping S1 and S2 separated on that page, but I got past page 9 and realized it had S2 stuff on it. Thanks for pushing me to read it
