Baseline Compression Check
I was wondering if a baseline compression check for a new RX8 is worthwhile. I'm not a hypochondriac, but I did get a baseline ECG a few years ago for myself .

I have a feeling there is no real reason to have this done, it was probably done right after assembly anyway as QC. If they did, I wish they would have put it in the docs.

Compression tests can't be completed just after building a fresh motor... Well i guess you CAN but it's pointless really.
You have to give time for everything to break into each other..

I wish I'd bought a compression tester (or had my home-built one calibrated/validated) when I had my engine rebuilt so I could track its progress.
