Where to go next

That’s why I like the Rx8.. takes longer to go “fast” plus you can just maintain your speed in any turn while not speeding on the roads. You’re actually engaged while driving the car.
At the track with a proper setup you get to really push it and experience the fun of the car. Like I said... a poor mans Porsche.

I agree wish I would have got on the track sooner.
So I’m going to the advinti hybris rims to drop some weight and falken 660’ I think hopefully this week.
I also looked back at my track days with the rs and those days were very cool 50’s so I may have avoided most the heating issues with it because of that. I can say I have noticed all the guys trying to correct heat issues tend to make it worse by adding coolers in front of things and seem just not enough room for more air to flow and keep everything cool.
I have been runnning e85 with straight meth, coupled with engine ice and a lower tsat so engine and oil has never been bad on mine. Brake upgrade included light rotors and lines with better fluid. It’s been a bit since I dig into it so I don’t have exact parts.

After looking at my notes. For the rs ebc rotors, cobalt friction pads.
As for rdu getting hot I think I figured it out. After spending this past weekend with a stock rs of a friend who only gets 3-4 laps before his does it. I have come to the conclusion. Some cars just have higher thresholds before they turn off. His has a low one. But what I found was I was able to make it over 20 min before it did it to me and he could only make a few laps. I noticed that as his brakes faded, “his fluid is gone”. That I was using for the awd more to help pull me to the line. Every session as soon as brake faded I would start using the awd to get me through the corner instead of proper technique. Then bam rdu turns off after a lap or two. I’m gonna change the fluid and see if my observation is correct.
Also update my rx8 to ebc rotors and cobalt friction pads and they are a great combo. Very happy.
