What type of baffle/muffler is inside the RB midpipe?
Gotcha. Mine had the pinging metallic sound going on too, but I think that is present in any single resonated catless pipe.

So far, I am extremely happy with my HJS cat + BHR pipe combination. The cat flows 90% or better and shouldn't clog or melt. (It has survived 2 track days so far, and I am doing a track night tonight at least). The tailpipe smell is tolerable, and the CEL stays off. It is lighter than the OEM catted pipe. The sound is good. And, I didn't notice any power loss when I had the cat welded in. The downside is the price, of course. The cat was $720, and the labor was an additional $75.
