Yay! Blew up my tire.

So I need new tires, I was waiting until winter was over because I don't drive the 8 much in the snow, but of course I took it out tonight. I blew up the driver's side rear and now new tires all around. I have the stock 18s and really know nothing about tires. The rears were 225/45/18 so I guess I need that size. I am buying them at Discount Tire too if that matters for branding and things like that. Also I live in Minnesota so they need to work well in most weather conditions. Thanks!

Read these reviews about the Conti ExtremeContact DWS

Those prices seem really high for some reason...

Anyway, stock size is 225/45/18; but a popular replacement tire is 245/40/18.

I'd also look into the Yokahama S.Drive. Prices hover around $139 or so per tire, so quite a bit cheaper than most summer tires for our size, but they are really excellent tires. I did ~35,000 on a set of them up until the beginning of this winter, and was immensely pleased with them, both dry and wet. Incredibly good wet traction and hydroplane resistance actually.

AFAIK, 245/40/18 is the largest you can fit on stock wheels (18x8 dimension, +50 offset) without problems.
