may not need a fender roll. youll have to wait till you get it to know for sure, but i think youll be ok unless its a very aggressive drop.

for price - thats really hard to say. Depends on what rims and tires you go with... could go from anywhere near $1200 to $2500 for a decent setup (of course cheaper if you find used)

assuming that it fits on stock height, how much can i drop the car without rubbing?

i will probably have to roll fenders but even so will it fit?

also, will the 255 tire fit on 10"?

it'll stick out badly up front. you may be fine in back with the 255 tire. might need a fender roll if u slam the back, but front is still the problem.

imo, the first is actually too conservative and the second is too agressive

+ 20 would be intense; esp up front... it would look weird.

Im thinking you could probably go with a wider rim and tire and keep it non-staggered... but im not sure what rims ur looking at so dont know their available sizes. do you have a link to the rims available sizes?

Normally a 18X9 +40 will never have a problem clearing the caliper. Your rim is wider and ur offset is lower, two things that move you further AWAY from the caliper.

If you see the design of your rim, its clear they are trying to make a deep lip while working with a high offset (two opposites). Its not easy to do, and the way they did it is to have the spokes bend back to what appears to be BEHIND the hub. This gives the deep look but also the caliper clearance issue. Glad to see you got it to work with the spacers

Just a heads up... be careful with those wheels... they dont appear to be very strong in their design. Would hate to see you crack one on a pothole.

sorry, you can't assume brake caliper clearance based on a width/offset spec.

it always depends on the centerhub and spoke design, which can't be determined from the general wheel specs

Ok heres my deal I want to get the best track setup for my car but I don’t want anything less than an 18in wheel. I want the widest setup I can put on there and I will roll the fenders what can I do. Oh I have JIC FLA2 coilovers so I can adjust things if need be.

I have 2006 Copper Red Shinka 6 speed manual with stock 18" inch wheels right now. Recently my beater car for the winter gave up on me and it's not worth fixing so I have to bring my RX8 out of the garage.

There's not much of a winter left here in Minnesota and it has been barely snowing but any snow will kill me on the Dunlop's that I'm on. Someone on craigslist has a brand new set of Blizzaks (225x55x16) with wheels of a Lexus GS. (16 inch)

I'm pretty sure that Lexus GS's and SC's have the same bolt pattern 5x114.3 and the auto basic RX8's used 225/55x16 tires.

Should this fit? My calipers wouldn't be to big for the 16's right?

the 18X9.5 Enkei RPF1's are a popular choice for a reason. Light, Wide, Fits, and... relatively inexpensive.

by track i assumed u meant road course or autocross. if you wanted something for drag racing or drifting... it would be a lot different.

depending on the design of the rim but more the size of the tire... you should be a-ok

no can. havent seen anyone fit a 16" wheel on the oem 18" setup. Brake Calipers on the RX8 are too big. Barely cleared when i had 17s
