ok so what would be a better fitment for it right now?

What do you mean? im open to suggestions.. ill admit i dont know much about cars and i Just started learning about tire sizes/ rim sizes so id appreciate any help

both. since i wouldnt be lowering it until the winter because i ride my bike as a daily driver back home.

if the 18" rims would look and go better than ill do that

Alright so,

I have 2 choices so far for rims

choice 1 : rota torque's 18x9.5 +20

choice 2: rota boost 18x10 + 35

I got these down but I'm a noob with tire specs, which would you choose and what tire specs do you guys recommend?

It's not the diameter of the wheel that's the issue, it's the diameter of the tire.

I had 19x9 +40 with 245/35/19 on my rx8 with stock suspension and it looked ok. Looked 100 times better with coilovers and 15mm spacers all around. I dont think it would have looked good though with the spacers and no drop though.

I guess what I'm saying is that if you want aggressive wheels, you have to have coilovers for it to look good. If you hardly drive your 8, then I suggest saving up for both coils and wheels and get them together.

245/40 for the torques

265/35 for the boosts

Both will require rolled fenders, shaved bumper tabs, and camber.

rolling fenders I wouldn't mind, but I never really was able to find more detail into shaving bumper tabs though can you help me out on that part?

and I'll look up more on camber, never really knew much about it either lol, back to searching!

ok so if this was your car and setup what all would you get? i really want the 19" rims if i can get them.. and im deployed so i would be able to get everything i need at once and just have it shipped home. Also, and suggestions on the coils? i.e brand and type

Those are the forgestar f14's in 18x10 +40 Im guessing. Maybe has racing beat springs or some other medium size drop spring.

19x10 +40 with 265/35/19 would look good I think, even while stock (though it will look MUCH better lowered - also have to roll fenders) Check out the thread in this section on the powertrix coils, seems to be a good deal.

Just go to your 8 and look under the rear fenders. You will see a bolt/tab hidden behind some plastic at the rear of the arch (rear bumper side, not the suicide door side). This is what you have to grind down because the tires will rub on it otherwise.

Ok so noob question on tire size... I have the stock 18's and run 245/40/18's... just found a hell of a deal on 275/40/18's will these clear front and back?

255 ish, 275 will fit too but you have a higher chance of the tire somehow failing

thinking about getting some 18x9.0 and running them with a spring drop. maybe the tien s tech or tanabe GF.

tanabe 1.4"-1.2"
tien 1.4"- 0.7" (i think)

anyways what would be a good offset for this set up. looking for a nice flush look, i was thinking maybe +30 ish?

and a good tire size? nothing crazy, just whatever would fit. maybe 245/35-18

i have a good offer on the tanabe's but i wish the rear end drop was less, it already seems like the back end sags a bit. anybody you know running a set up similar to what i suggested that could PM me a pic of their car? thanks for any help!

18x9 +25 with 245/40 would be a good combo. Only have to roll rear fenders.

You will wish the teins lowered the rear more. I've heard that from multiple people.

Ok, I really appreciate the help. I will go with the tanabe springs than. Is rolling the fenders something you would suggest a trained personal do? I'm good with my hands and rather mechanical, I have read a lot of DIY on it and seems rather simple. Or it one of those "harder than it looks" things.
