In my opinion, stretched tires look really bad on a car that isn't slammed. You could definitely fit 245's later but I understand about your tire situation.

And you cant really say "because Tilt got it to fit" that you can get it to fit. His fenders are rolled, pulled, no clear corners, no fender plastic, extreme lowering and camber. I could never fit those wheels on my car, just to much work but it looks sick.

What I meant by "they fit tilt" was that it is physically possible to stuff them in the fenders, not that it was easy. I've seen other cars with similar offsets, but it does seem like 10.5 +15 is very near the threshold of what's (kinda) practical.

Here's a (bad) pic of my ride height, see what I mean about the rear looking too high?

I'd like to get a front lip (which one do you have?), some side skirts, and INGS+1 rear extensions to give it some visual drop, but even then... looks so LIFTED!!!

I'm happy with the front, and wouldn't go any lower, but I may "need" coilovers just to bring down the rear. Obviously, having full adjustment would allow me to tailor F&R to my needs, but I'm on a budget here.

In an ideal world I'll get some 18x9 +31 with 245s and space them out as I see fit, but depends where I find these wheels I'm looking for..

Anyway, speculate away. 10" wide with +25 offset may end up being flush with the rear, and not need much other than a roll, but not positive.

*EDIT* Just performed a ghetto and inaccurate "measurement" that involved sticking a ruler at my wheel and tire and seeing how far out 2" would go... (8"->10" wheel, 50mm->25mm offset = 50mm further out according to some website calculator)
From that unscientific observation:
1. my tires are tall. 225 on a 10 would get some stretch and might be enough clearance.
2. With this in mind, the wheel lips of a 10" would be pretty damn flush, at this point more worried about tire clearance. I have little doubt that it wouldn't work with a roll though.

Now I just need to save up some extra cash for wheels....

"Stretching" the tire doesn't shorten the height of the tire very much, if any. Also the height of the tire creates a problem with the fender liner and rubbing when you turn, not the fender itself. PS: We both said it's a bad idea, so if you want to go with it anyway you are on your own.

245/40 all around and feel along the connection of rear 1/4 panel and bumper on the inside of the wheel well. There will be a tab covered by the plastic fender liner. The fender liner must be trimmed back and the tab will need to be filed/ground away. I had to roll my rear fenders for that exact setup so expect the same.

1 could work with 245 front and 265 rear (maybe 275). Number 2 is a hell no.

I'm looking at some wheels that come in the following sizes and offsets

18x8 et20
18x8 et40
18x9 et15
18x9 et35

Which set would work the best to stagger if possible? Sock S2

sixsix 18x9+35 will allow you to put the widest rubber down with the least amount of work to the fenders - should be able to do 265/35 without even a roll at stock height

Nexen tires are ****.

It's like walking into a casino wearing a tux and wearing Walmart shoes.

You won't need to roll your fenders with this setup (though to be safe you should roll rears if you get springs)

question!, if i was on s-techs with OEM shocks and 245/40/18 tires and wanted 18x9.5+30 offset wheels. will i need to modify the fenders? i really want no rubbing.

there has been tons and tons of posts, about offset similar to this. I still haven't found a solid answer, the wheels are Rotas P45r.

lots of threads i have read through and I'm pretty convinced they would, just need some Confirmation.

Lower than s-tech (coilovers) 18x9 +20 245/40 is pretty easy with rolled fenders and shave the rear tab a bit.

Then use an online calculator that takes into account tire width/height and wheel offset/width to see how it compares to those ones I told you.

That's pretty generic and I havent' run the numbers, but should work most of the time.

what about this setup?

http://www.streetdreams.org/wheels/r...Machined%20Lip

enkei lusso 20"

front 20x8.5" offset 40
rear 20x9.5" offset 40

what kind of tires would i need for theese? strech? 225/30/20?

i was thinking of springs with them. Tanabe NF or Sprint Springs

also willing to roll fenders

I would stay away from 20's. I have 19's and they look great, but when I get new wheels they will be 18's. Sounds like 19's would be perfect for you.

If you have the money, don't waste your time with springs and just get coilovers. Cheap Megan Racing coilovers are about $850 shipped, and good quality and highly used on the boards are the Stance GR+ coils, which are about $1300 (I dont know shipping to Iceland). Both will let you drop 3+ inches, more than enough to eliminate wheel gap.

So give me some 19" wheel choices and I'll help you out with sizing.

Would the tires be "too" stretched?

Not stretched beyond the manufacturer's specs but you will have a definite stretch. Remember, 2tone has 18x9.5 +30 with 275's and he just rolled rears I believe, and he was on s techs/stock shocks.
