No it won't . U r allow to go up 10mm or down 10mm. So 235/40 R18 is the biggest u can go.

WTF are you talking about? You should check out some tire specs my friend. 245 on a 8 inch wheel is more than acceptable.

I prefer 195/50 on my stock wheels. Even better if the tires are from china.

If you rub crisco on the wheel before they mount tires, you can easily get a 255.

Those might be better, but I use those far more often and thus my supply is limited. Crisco is much cheaper and works nearly as well.

Just to kill two birds with one stone, I have a question. What's the widest tire you can fit on the stock rim?

you need a wider rim. [= go staggered. 8.5 or 9 width up front and 10's in the back. [= looks sick, could even add spacers to the rear to give it a mean look.

Autocrossers have put 275's on stock 8' wheels, but I wouldn't recommend it for street or track driving. That size tire is too wide for the 8" wheel, but they are limited in what they can do in stock class. I have run 245/40's on the street and track. I didn't see an increase in cornering over the 225/45's on the track. If you check the tire manufacturer specs, you will find that 245's (and sometimes 255's) are acceptable on a 8" rim. It's not optimum, but acceptable.

Staggered is for looks. Not for performance.

You said he needs it. There is no need to go staggered.

Staggered is personal preference some people who track like it some don't.

The point is this thread is stupid and pointless...

I said performance, not high performance. The discussion is also about using stock wheels.
You post is off topic.
