I am going to be getting those with a few other things. But, I don't know which ones are great and such. I already have Tanabe Sustec Pro 5 coilovers if that matters at all.

increased structural rigidity.
You're basically tying the upper and lower corners of the car to each other increasing the rigidity of the body. It will reduce body roll and improve handling.

I'm using the MS tower bars and I'm still deciding which sways I want to go with.

I like 4-pt strut bars as they stiffen the chassis significantly more than the stock 2-pts and even aftermarket ones. I have Autoexe and have no complaints whatsoever, they are attached to the sidewall of the engine bay at a chassis strong point. The rear bar is the best and really helps calm the back end down.

Sway bars choices are many and it depends on the stiffness you want. With coilovers you prop don't need the stiffest, but I do prefer adjustable ones for track tuning.

nice spin. i just got rb sways (love them!), not even realizing that i could still get strut bars. do you think i "need" both. i don't track, just have fun driving. also, if i already have tein s springs and rb sways, would it still make a significant difference in feel if i'm not at a track. love the autoexe look (red). any comparo the ms strut tower brace? isn't that one a 4pt also?

oh, for the op, just got rb sways on - very nice addition. i got stiffer springs first (stock shocks) so while the difference in feel w/ the sways was def noticeable, i wonder how much more i would feel it if i got them first. anywho, they def make the car just stay flat throughout turns and high speed lane changes.

not the rear? specific reason why not both? do you have sways also?

honestly, i love the way this car handled stock, but tein s springs and sways have made it "perfect" for what i do ... i can't imagine it handling even better. of course, i said that when i originally got the car and look what i've done now!

I like the RB sways and endlinks and I have the Mazdaspeed strut bar.
I'm not lowered much right now and am on the RB springs. Going to go with coilovers pretty soon.

Well, stiffness in the rear promotes oversteer.

So i have the ultra-strong autoexe up front and the "meh" greddy out rear. Check out the link in my sig to see the front autoexe brace.

Oversteer is when the car wants to turn in to much right? Thats what the drifters go after right?

As for sway bars this is what I want

You're confusing 'stiffness' as in stiffer sway bars making front or rear end suspension 'stiffer' (which induces oversteer at whichever end) ... with .... 'stiffened chassis' (what strut braces do) which reduces chassis and suspension 'structure' flex.

A stiffened suspension decreases grip therefore rotating the car, i.e., oversteer. Balance between ends is the key, therefore adjustable sway bars allow that balance to be obtained.

Reducing structural chassis and suspension flex provides consistant handling under high cornering stress.... by keeping correct suspension geometry and therefore tire patch. IOW the car doesn't 'surprise' you by changing it's handling under hard cornering as chassis flexes and tire patch changes.

In a perfect world your chassis and suspension would NOT flex AT ALL (think race car) under cornering; in practice all one can do is make it flex less. This is what strut braces do (therefore the term 'brace').

A further extension of this concept would be underbraces and/or roll cage that would contribute to even more stable handling at the limit.

im going with the MS strut bars and the Progress sways. those two things along with my coilovers should give me supreme handling at the track.

I think you will be very satisfied with that combination. I have a JIC 2 point brace up front with a TC Sportline in the rear. Sways are the non adjustable ones from Whiteline with the spherical end links. Those links make some noise so I'm going to check around for some replacements.

Anyone every thought of some sort of sub-frame connector for the unibody of the RX8? Back when I was into fox body Mustangs, one of the first things done to strengthen those flimsy unibodies (that were based on the late 70's Ford Fairmont )were to have sub frame connectors welded onto the underside of the car. Noticeable improvement in those cars, but I haven't ever come across one for the RX8.
