Value of stock rims

I got an offer from someone to buy my stock 18" rims. They're in great shape still, but they have no idea what to offer me and I have no idea what they're worth- I want to make sure I get a good, fair price on them. Anyone have any ideas on what the value would be? I have an '04 and this month is my cars 1st birthday- so they're 'used'. Thanks for your help.

Just call your Mazda dealer parts department and ask what a new rim would cost.

New rims from the dealership are $510. They're cheaper from Rosenthal or Trussville.

In the for sale forum they've gone anywhere from $100 to $300 per wheel depending on condition and if TPMS is included

I had 2 rims that were in perfect condition, and 2 that had some minor blemishes (small nicks around the lug nuts)

I sold one of the perfect rims on E-Bay for ~$160, the other perfect rim on this forum for ~$150.

The one's that had the slight imperfections went for ~$125.

There was no TMPS included. Usually, when someone buys a replacement rim, they already have the TMPS, so it's not necessary.

Thanks for the replies and quotes. This might be a stupid question, but what is TMPS? Is that the tire sensor?

Also, if I do decide to do this, am I going to have problems hooking up the tire sensor to the new rims? I really don't know much about this, and any info would be great. Thanks again.

TPMS = Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Most people use this term to refer to the sensor itself.

You may or may not have problems with using the system on your new rims. It depends on whether or not the new rim is compatible with the system. I believe there is a thread that lists those that are and those that are not.
