Upgrading suspension and sways

OK so I'll be coming into some cash here in the near future and i really want to upgrade the suspension and sway bars. As of right now the only "mod" on the car is a K&N intake. I also plan to lower the car about an inch and 1/2.

With that in mind, I'm looking for a set of coilovers and sway bars. After some searching I'm noticed a lot of people touting Tein as the way to go for the coilovers and whiteline or RB for the sways.

I don't do any other than street driving but I'm up in the mountains with canyon roads and i love taking turns sharp. I'd like any recommendations since this will be the first car i've done performance mods to. Looking for a stiff suspension and the least amount of body roll as possible. Thanks again and let the flames begin.

My first suspension mod was RB sway bars, and I love them. I definitally noticed a big difference after putting them on (front and rear) The best suspension mod for the money. If you are only doing street driving then you don't need a set of coilovers unless it's the adjustability that you really need. A simple set of Tein S-Techs or H-Techs will give you a nice drop. Personally, I track my car and need the adjustability, so i'm planning on getting some Megan Racing coilovers for about $900. Some popular coilovers are the KW Variant 3's..which will run you about 1700 new. and also the HKS Hypermax II which are pretty expensive as well.

Well, as i said, this is my first mod car so I'm still trying to learn the basics and all that. i was told to go with coilovers b/c of the extra space is created in case I end up with some odd offsets

Have you experienced the stock suspension at the limit? If not, go to some track days and see what the car can do before you start changing stuff.

Gr8White:

coilovers are nice but really not necessary for most. I upgraded to Tein S Techs + Koni struts (mainly to elminate that silly wheel gap up front) and it's a GREAT setup.
My car is primarily a daily driver but I know if I should find myself at the track, I'll be in good shape. Best of both worlds I guess.
