Two brake questions

Seems pretty common for people who do track days \ Auto-X to change their front pads.

1 ) Have anyone of you who have done it, felt the 'balance' of the braking system thrown off by the increased grip in the front and perhaps the reduction of grip on the rears when you put 'track pads" only on the front??? I ask even though I have a set of Carbotech Panthers waiting to go on the front for track days. But the brakes are a complete system and I am curious about the balance.

2 ) I have also been told that the liner in most stainless steel brakeline kits is a solid nylon or teflon liner which when it fails, it fails catastrophically whereas the rubber lines are multiple layers of rubber and when they fail, they fail slowly and give warning over time. The result of this is that if you use SS brakelines, you need to replace them yearly especially if you are doing track days \ auto-X.

Does this ring any bells with anyone?
