thanks george. i won't be on the track that much, as i am busy with school. if i ever do get serious enough, i'll probably get a separate set of wheels with a stickier tire. i'm pretty confident the toyo is right for me, & your analytical appraisal just helped! thanks.

Glad to help. Just remember to give your T1-Rs a good break in period before judging their absolute performance. They will feel pretty greasy when new, and depending on how you drive and how many dry days you get, it could take 200-500 miles to break them in.

yeah, im aware of the break-in period. do they actually recommend driving much more cautiously (read slowly) during those miles?

No, you can drive it normally - it's not unsafe. It's just that ultimate grip will be down 15% or so.

thanks again, george. i'll just make sure i stay cognizant of that before i take any turns too hard... (maybe this is a good chance to work on my power sliding in an empty parking lot....hehehehe)
