Which Tire(s) are good ?

Talking about performance Summer here that "fits" the stock Rx8 wheels.

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD

BridgeStone S-03 Pole Position

KUMHO ECSTA MX

Toyo T1R

Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07

I personally prefer S-03, cuz I tired it before and know how it performs.

Next one ... Maybe Toyo Tire.

Forget about Dunlops, I hate them.

The MX and KD are very similar but I would say the MX will last longer and is cheaper then most on your list.

I have the Toyo T1S. The new T1R are supposed to be quite an improvement. Also take a look at the Falken RT-615. Supposed to the best interms of ultimate traction & handling. Also the stock rim will fit a 245/40/18 quite nicely. More choices (the 225/45/18 is kind've an oddball size).

The AD07's which I have are superb tyres...better braking and cornering once the sticky composites get up to temp, all around fantastic tyres.

According to RB (http://www.rxtuner.com/farticles/BeautyandtheBeat.pdf) they like the Bridgestone RE040.

According to GRMS (8/05 Issue) they like the Falken RT-615s and RT-215s best, according to their latest track testing. Me too - I have tracked my 8 on 235/40/18 RT-615s and it's the best tire I've experienced that totally streetable too.

Somewhat dated information. since then more brands have come out for the 225/45/18. Trust me, the RE 040 is a very marginal tire. Once you are on a Toyo, or Falken RT-615, or S03, or Pilot Sport 2 it is night & day how much better these tires are.

I've been trying to get my hands on the T1R's but no one can get a delivery date. So I'm going with the Yokohama AVS ES100's. They seem very similar to the Toyo's so I'll try to let ya know how they ride. Expecting them by Tues. of next week.
