Will 235-40-r18 fit a 18x9 rim well? A real novice question I know.

it's stretched, but not that bad. so yes, it will fit. especially cause the sidewall is tall

Yes, should fit nicely. Some of the "Ricers" are blowing out 215's on 9" wheels.
