yeah, i'm not saying that it isn't going to drop, just that it will still have to settle which you even say in your post took about 4-5 days. I'm impatient, and I like instant results so I tightened the bolts on the ground and it was dropped from day 1, no need to wait for it to settle (in the front at least).
where in my post did i say it was bad??? you act like if people dont do it, its a sin!!! and i feel bad for you cause your just wasting time you dont have to preload ****!!!

if you don't want to then don't, but it does help, not in the drop obviously but you'll expose those bolts pointed out to much more stress then before instead of allowing the new springs to get the full weight they are engineered to.
It's christmas, act a little nicer please.

This thread is AWESOME!!!
PS: you should tighten your suspension bolts with the car on the ground to get the drop. I installed my own shocks and springs and experimented to see for myself. I pre-loaded one side and didn't pre-load the other when tightening them and there was a 0.5" difference in ride height between the the pre-loaded and non-pre-loaded.
Definitely loosen the top suspension bolts and then re-torque them down on the ground.
Jedi I'm not sure what you did but those guys just flew off the handle.
