Just jacked up my car today and looked. They are in the very beginning stages of tearing after ~6k miles of use this season with no track days.
Glad a manufacturer stands by they're product and corrects the issue!

Bump, did anyone receive their new pieces yet from powertrix? Haven't heard any word when they were going to be shipped.

Unfortunately we have not received the replacement lower mounts from manufacturing yet but expect them to be finished and arriving soon.
As soon as I have a confirmation that they have been sent to us or have already been shipped, We'll be updating everyone via email and this thread.
(I am hopping to have this update this week)

At that time we will have a better ETA for the components.
Shipping these replacements out is our number one priority as soon as they arrive and we thank everyone in advance for their patience with this situation as we are doing everything possible to make this process happen as quickly as possible.
Please feel free to contact us via email if you have ant further questions.

Just read through the whole thread, and I may have missed it if posted, but where can I actually buy a set of Stance SS w/ Swift springs included, and for the best deal? I'm looking on Stance's site and they don't seem to have a package deal listed anywhere. Am I missing something? Any help is greatly appreciated, as I plan on ordering these come tax return time.

Why would you buy them after reading this whole thread? Just get decent coil overs. But if you must, just call THmotorsports, they will hook you up.

Honestly, to me it looks like their customer service is top notch, they've addressed quality control issues nicely and seem to actually care about improving their products. The good outweighs the bad from my point of view, especially considering these will be going on a car that rarely see's track days but is my daily. I want something that can do both well without breaking the bank, but still offering good features (adjustable dampers, monotube design, etc). Don't get me wrong, I'd rock a set of Ohlins if I could justify it! Those will be reserved for my track car project.

Anyways, thank you for the concern and the info regarding THM.

There are coilovers in this price range (within a couple hundred) with zero issues. They may have handled the issues well when they happened and I give credit for that but from what I have seen, the upgraded part is the same old **** and it will just happen again. And it could be very dangerous if the owner doesn't notice the deterioration. I also find it pretty shitty that neither Stance nor Powertrix offered any type of recall because they sure as hell knew about it. All three of our local members with Powertrix had this same issue and this has been and issue for a couple of years now, before our local guys purchased them. Not to mention, the shock shaft dust boots fall apart as well. Mine were coming apart at few thousand miles on a car that had barely been driven in SA, Texas where the weather is sunny and dry most of the year.

I'm just saying so those who don't know understand the risk. You can get Bilstein PSS9's for not much more.

Eh; damn; I just bought a set of Stance Super Sports--I hope the new ones have been fixed.

Cost me $1k; I chose it over TEIN's.

Appreciate the info. Looks like I'll be rethinking my build a bit.

EDIT: Those are definitely in my price range (under $2k) and seem to offer all of the features I could dream of. How about their customer service? Any experience there? Not that it matters, but **** happens, so its good to have peace of mind.

I have never heard of anything but good from Bilstein and most of the sellers who sell the PSS9 kits are reputable. You can also get them on Ebay with free shipping from reputable sellers with money back guarantees.

UGH; I can't send my Stance back--over return period an they don't go on car for another 2 months; waiting on my Volks to come in.

I guess I can run them til they break nad then upgrade to better set? I wouldn't feel comfortable selling them to someone knowing what would happen.

Yeah I had the lowers on mine replaced and they have lasted okay but I plan on getting rid of them ASAP. But I will be installing a custom set using Bilstein shocks built by SARX here pretty soon. There are many options depending on your budget.

If you have a few hours to learn watch some of these.

Looks like I got time--I ordered on 10/1/13 and have 30 days to return with 15% restocking fee--I'd be out $150 + shipping.

Not sure if it's worth it at this time or just put them on and next year get something else. I don't daily drive--it's a track car and I don't plan on tracking until next Summer. I guess I could watch it during season and if it's gone just throw something else on.

Glad to see some shipping info in my email today.

And fwiw, powertrix are in my opinion a great entry level coilover set. For the price, they do their job and that's good enough in my book. For daily use and some spirited driving I enjoy the feel of them.

Of course if I wanted to go into serious autocross I would go with 9k and buy into fatcat. A Fc owner and a few local miata owners swear by them. Gotta pay to play with those though

A great entry level coil over that will suffer from bushing failure in a year. My buddy had $800.00 Tanabe SC-03's (or whatever the model is) for years and didn't have any issues. I have not heard of these types of serious issues with the other cheap coil over setups.

9K is not going with an FCM set up. I do have a FCM set up on my car. The FCM set up is not what you would expect. They are much softer feeling then 90% of any aftermarket coilover equipped car I have rode in. Just because the suspension is more stiff dose not mean it is better, This is doubly true on the street.

I had Stance coilovers on my car prior to the FCM set up. They never felt correct. I tried different spring rates and heights. It was the dampening that never was where i wanted it. It was always to stiff on rebound or way to soft on compression. No matter how much i adjusted it i could never ever find a happy place. Looking back there are several other kits I would have liked much more.

(edit) The Stance guys were very good to work with and im sure I could have sent my set up back to them for custom valving to take care of my issues. I was just done dealing with the set up at that point.

K Sport is generally ranked right up there with Megan, Powertrix, etc.

Let me google that for you

Check the link but truthfully its prolly no better to worse. I would spend a bit more and pick up a better built set up.
