coilovers are your best bet to accomplish what you want...but keep in mind the lower you go the less shock travel you have equals bottoming out

sprint springs will get you pretty darn low. Look at the Springs, springs, springs thread OR the Lowered on stock wheels threads. (you shoudl be able to search for those)

Take a look at Speeddemon's car.

i can't find the lowered on stock wheels thread. i also want it to handle and ride good. maybe shocks for lowered applications would also be an option?

coilover = springs + shock. They come mated so you can't swap anything out there. They do allow for dampening adjustment and such but expect to pay WAY more for coilovers.

MS springs can be put on MS struts which is a pretty good combo. I hear it's pretty stiff setup but I haven't driven his car lately so I don't know for sure. For pics of that, look at Kwescott's car. (it's in the For Sale forum right now) Check the black one, not his white rx-8.

Also, head over to the DPE subforum. He's THE suspension guru on here and sells all kinds of suspension products for us at a great price.

here's a pic of mine, Sprint Springs Mazdaspeed Shocks it's a 2 inch drop and it doesn't rub with the stock tire size. You do have to watch it though because it is LOW! But I love it

Damn, that is pretty low for springs. I have the teins-s tech. I personally love the teins. Make sure you research though.

yeah, and don't buy the S-Techs on ebay. There's a bunch of replica S-Techs out there.
