if you run 15mm spacers, the stock studs will hit the back of the rims.
I had that problem with 10mm.. then again, I dont have stock wheels.

I'm thinking of running 10mm and 15mm, but these are my wheels:

it *looks* like the old spacers will fit through the extra 5 holes, are those 5 extra holes specifically for spaces? i know they're not for mounting since they aren't recessed in...

Yes, wheels that don't have these holes have groves behind the face of the wheel. BTW, if you have 8 or 8.5 wide tires, go with 15mm for the wobble problems I mention earlier.

curious...why would 10mm specifically cause wobble issues vs. 15mm... if both have their own studs i dont see a difference. old studs will probably clear through the holes on my wheels no?
i dont think 15mm will clear without rolling for me

Hey, yeah, I saw your post on the other thread. If you're set on a 10mm, go ahead, your wheel design won't be an issue. In my case though, I had problems since the OEM studs still protruded a bit too far still.

learn something new every day.

you could always take a hack saw to the stock studs.

Thanks in advance!
i got kics 25mm spacers. no i didn't have to roll my fenders and there's absolutely no issue with rubbing, but my springs don't sit as low as other gf210s. i'll take some pics and put them up tomorrow. i can tell you that my rims look way better with the spacers. there is a slight feel of oversteer tho.

Hmm, I wonder how handling will be effected with stock rims and 15mm spacers?

probably minimal. but like mentioned earlier, you need to grind down the stock studs to get it to fit flush. NEVER have a gap with spacers.. haha

I have some 5mm spacers and they have been run through a couple of drift events now with no problems. I'm looking at getting 15mm or 20mm spacers next. They will be the bolt on kind as I want strength.

My Dodge 3500 dually has 2" spacers on the rear wheels and I've towed my boat all other this state and never had a problem. Just have to install them, drive 50-100 miles, check torque, and then I just torque every 3 fill ups or so.

Sorry for the noobness of this question but.........

if people are so worried about wheel spacers used in racing events (autocross, drift, drag, etc...), why do some out there use them???

I hear a lot out there say NOT.. NEVER... DON'T use wheel spacers especially if you plan to use your car on the track. But a lot of folks out there also swear on the reliability and safeness of wheel spacers - both in every day driving and track use.

What gives?
