smaller wheel size?

what is the smallest rim size that fits on the 8? im looking into buying smaller rims so I dont pay so much for tires because i have the car set up for autoX and the front wheels are rediculously cambered and have alot of toe-out. they eat through tires like no other.

What class are you planning on running with your smaller non-Stock-legal wheels?? Street Prepared? unless you've got tons of suspension tuning, you'll likely get smoked!
someone did post here a while back that many 17" will work. probably 17"x9 and get a 275 tire. I don't believe any 16" wheel will fit over the front brakes.

If you have an AT you can get 16's and up but if you have a MT you would need to find some wheels that can clear you calapers.

ahhh, gotcha. in that case, many 225/45/17 tires can be had for relatively cheap, if you're not too picky about everyday street grip.

So 17's do fit the front brakes? Is there a certain offset range it needs to stay in to fit? I might get some 17X9 BBS so i can have more tire size choices and cheaper tires later on, plus less unsprung weight and still maximum width.
