I am trying to organize a wheel manufacturer to make RX8 Replica wheels. There is much demand on the Mazda6 forum for the wheels, so to open up the offer here as well, please respond in the post. This is a follow up to my original post regarding the creation of replica RX8 wheels. To answer some commonly asked questions, these wheels will be EXACTLY to spec with an OEM rx8 wheel, however there MAY be a chance to lower the weight on each wheel slightly, but that has not been decided yet. That will be THE only change if it works out. The replica wheel will look EXACTLY like an OEM RX8 wheel. Provisions will also be made for centercaps on the wheel. The only issue to straighten out now, is the copyright information. I have talked to other companies who created replica wheels(won't list them here) and they have had no issue with creating them, but that does not mean i wont. The wheels will be manufactured by a certified company(will post their licensing information, and previous creations once i get that). Expect the quality to be A+. I have been looking for someone who is reputable, since replica wheels can get touchy with quality, and hence have to keep the price at $699.99 to ensure a quality product, as well as to cover the expensive mold(over a "couple thousand"). ****Please note for RX8 OWNERS, there is a possibility to create wheels that are wider, but since that does not cater to the M6 crowd, please post if you would be interested in a wider wheel in your post, ie. Interested-SILVER-18X9.5.****

The last post had some thread crapping, so lets try and make this one easy for everyone, and clean, so we can all refer to this later.

The Price****The final price has not been determined yet, however expect it to run ABOUT $699.99 SHIPPED for 4 wheels****

The wheels will be manufacturered less than a month prior to purchase, as well as be brand new. Please keep that in mind for those of you that still think the price is a little high.

Also, if any moderator, does not agree, or does not want me to continue this on here, please PM me, so we do not have to discuss it in the middle of the thread. The molding is going to cost quite a bit, but aside from money, i think it would be something fun, and who would not appreciate a nice set of RX8 rims, brand new, which quite frankly, are not available for cheap.

Let me know about your thoughts, but again, lets stay on topic so everyone can get an idea of what the "hot" color is going to be. i am also considering opening this up to the RX8club forums, which if the demand gets high, the price can/will be lowered.

This is also very early in the scheme of things, but if all goes well, and the interest continues, everything looks good.
