Racing Beat or Tein H-Springs???
Which springs would you use and why? I have a lot of experience with Racing Beat components as I've used them on numerous cars. Never had any experience with Tein so please help me out. I def. want a lower ride height but want to keep ride quality as close to stock as possible. I lowered my Cobra years ago and paid for it over every single bump. Also, can I use the stock shocks/struts or do they need to be replaced?
any and all info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pistol

I have the RB springs...I use them with the stock shocks currently, while waiting for some replacements to come along...they are noticably stiffer, but I wouldn't call the ride harsh...and they provide a nice, modest drop...overall, I'm very pleased

I got the H tech installed, and they are as good a ride as stock IMO. The drop is not as arrressive as I want, and I am switching to S tech for more lowering. The H tech are a dream with handling and comfort.

How much are you looking to drop the car? RB springs drop the car only 1/4", so that really wouldn't be very noticable. I just got the S-tech springs, which I'll be putting on this weekend. They actually drop the front 1.4", which is quite a bit. People seem to be liking them quite a bit, so I guess I'll see.

I def. don't want too much of a drop. I want something to remove most of the gap between the tire and wheelwell. I would want to have a gap of about 1/5" from tire to wheelwell. I want to keep a decent ride quality though so I'm leaning towards the Tein springs. I also found out my brother has the Tein coilovers on his WRX and his car rides and handles great so that is prob. what I'll do. If anyone has any pics of either spring installed please post them here.
Thanks,
Pete

Like 310Guy said, it doesn't really matter which ones are better. They both have the same function, just different spring rates, and lowering heights.
Personally, I would go with the RB springs; they are a bit stiffer, and I'm sure they would go great with a nice set of shocks, which I'm still in the market for.

I got the RB springs, as I did not want to have any issues with the stock shocks. The RB springs only drop your car .5", but they improve your handling moreso than for aesthetic appearance. I will caution you that several of the people here on this board that got springs that dropped their cars over 1" had some funny handling issues creep up on them, and a few were hitting their bump stops and needed to cut them. If you get MS Springs which drop both front & rear, than you should get the MS shocks to go with it. In my case I wanted to keep my stock shocks, and I wanted better handling. The ride in my car is very slightly stiffer, but hardly noticeable. That is until I hit the twisties, than it was great.
