R3 Springs

I was just look for the spring rates and hight of the r3 compaired to other models ..

i know the s techs are 210inch/lbs in the front i just want to make sure the is a step in stiffness not a step back.

I had a set of tein S techs on my mazda 3 and loved them for the stiffness and drop of 2.5 in

i know that the s techs dont drop as far on the Rx8 but i am look for at least 1" drop on my r3 and a firmer rid,e i kinda feel a little top heavy and the cournering in the rx8 is not as good compaired to my old mazda 3 ( i did more work then just springs )

Thanks for the help

A guy who keeps getting banned here lowered his R3. I forgot which springs he used but I am sure you can find it if you search the board.

I don't recall the springs on the R3 being any different from a normal RX-8's.

I have a 2008 40th anniversary with the same OEM suspension setup as the R3 (Bilstein shock absorbers complement the urethane-foam-injected front suspension cross member). Mine is dropped with the Tein S-techs (stock struts) and the ride feels great. I don't know the OEM spring rates though, but i can tell you that ride is a bit more comfortable over those bigger bumps and handles better in the corners with less body roll. S tech are a good choice IMO.
