Powder coating wheels?
Just curious - has anyone painted the stock 5-spoke RX-8 wheels. I like the existing wheels, but I'm thinking they'd look better in gunmetal gray. I have a Titanium Gray RX-8. My wheels were scuffed up by the original owner and I want to clean them up. Can't afford new wheels, so I thought this might work.
If anyone's done this (or to any other set of wheels), what's involved? Will Powder coating work better, be as durable as the existing finish?
I've seen posts about painting the hubs and brake shoes, but what about wheels?

I hate to be the search guy, but use the search function. Just look up powdercoated wheels and painted wheels. Im sure you'll find what your looking for. I made a thread about powdercoating wheels less than 3 months ago.

Duplicolor wheel paint works well. I've done a couple of sets of Miata wheels in Bronze and they looked great.
If the curbing/scrapes are bad you can sand them down, fill them with Bondo and prime and paint over them. I had to do that on my wife's TT and the end results were very good.
