Painting Rims

Has anyone painted their rims? if so how much did it cost and let see some pix!

i should've been more specific, but i wnat to know how much it costs to get ur local paint shop to paint rims. and would it look bad if it was painted ..say....brilliant black

H-Omi do u remember the guy with the black 19" sf challenges? was it custom paint?

Also anyone who's painted their rims pls reply!

I would call the wheel manufacturer, maybe they can do it.

whats the difference between painting and powdercoating? anyone know? I wanna get my wheels gold. thanks

take them to a local body shop
thats the best place to get them done.
powder coat them

Yes, as I recall that was custom paint.

Powder coating is more durable than paint - it's a thicker formula with an epoxy-like resin in it. I think. :D

i won't look like a bad caliper paint job right? i would barf if all my rims looked like that

Check this post. Canzoomer can do the black, check the link for prices. It's kindof high.

power coating requires the part to be baked for the paint to be set. Therefore, really large parts require a large oven.

Some have used wheel spray paint followed by clear coats.

Holy cow $2000 from canzoomer....

I'm guessing a big oven will cost me a xuckload huh..

p.m me i have someone that can do it for way less than that.
they are called usa wheels
one of my wheels are there now and im thinking of doing by brakes next week.

are they in nj? what are you getting done to your wheels?

I'm not going to take any actions yet....i mean i haven't even gotten my rims yet...but kel pls keep us posted on what usawheels is doing for u..
