Without making a long post here I'll skip past the accident story lol
Anyways..I got in a accident and need one of these replaced. The Bodyshop was able to find a listing for "Chrome" rims but both of us are unsure if when he orders it if it will be the same "Dark Chrome" as my rims. I remember hearing there are two different sets of these, the normal Chrome and the Dark Chrome. I was told by Chrism that they no longer make them (dark chrome) at all so I'm kinda lost as to what to do at the moment.

If they dont make them anymore what will happen to the marked as a lost rim? (its scuffed hard but still useable)

If they do still make them or someplace has them in stock, whats the part number and who has 'em?

I'm dropping the car off next Tuesday and will like to be able to hand the guy this info before dropping her off (been busy this week why I'm doing this now bah!).

if they arent replaceable i would find the full oem price and he can total the wheels and get you replacements for the cost of the set......

 

Part of me is hoping for that Chrism hehehe... oh and when the hell did you hit 10k? lol..

The guy seems really nice and was the first to point out that "..those look to be a dark chrome and these state chrome which I'm assuming is the shiny type.." I'm hoping to save us both some time/aggrivation by doing some research myself and save him from ordering the wrong rim. But man if would be nice if they dont make 'em and get them all replaced by something aftermarket hehehhe. OnlineMazdaparts have the Chromes listed for about $600+ each normal and about $500 for their price so yeah.. be nice to say the least to have a 2k to shop around with for some rims

This is a littlebit of topic, but i am trying to get dark chrome wheels for me too. I allready have a set of normal chrome OEM's ( the only ones in Finland ) They have some "curb-rash", thanks to the previous owner...

So i bought a set of normal OEM's and I have been looking some solution have get them chromed to dark chrome.

I was hoping that mayby someone at this forum has some experience about chroming them dark chrome or painting them dark chrome?

Has anybody here tryed this on your wheels? :

if it works i would paint also the emblems, strakes and the rotary accent with that stuff. It would look really evil on my brilliant black

i think there was only one chrome one... call it chrome or dark chrome, but thats all they had.
