Cheers.

265s +42 all around. Projects kics two peace lugs 26mm in neo chrome. It fits much more aggressive then any +42.

Fits more aggressive than any +42? There isn't much room for interpretation on that lol. Looks good though

slvrstreak 03-16-2011 09:43 AM

very nice!

2tone 03-16-2011 10:28 AM

still love these wheels. imo 255/40 is too much sidewall though, has a bit of monster-truck going on.

Three gunmetal F14s in a row. woohoo! FTW.

275/35 on a 19" rim even with +40 is pushing it and may require a bit of work on a lowered car. A 265/30 on a 19" rim would fit alot better and should not rub at all.

I chose to stick with a 18" rim mainly for tire prices and availability. That is something you may want to think about as well. Also remember good performance tires only last about 10k.

yea i hadn't thought of that. so what kind of setup can i get with 18" rims? i want the tire to barley show around the rim... if that makes any sense at all  Damn it sucks being a newb :banghead:

Hello! I'd like to ask how long it normally takes from order to delivery with the F14 wheels? I just want to get an idea how long it'll take the factory to make them as I was told my wheels are two weeks into production and they didn't provide any ETA. I placed my order with my local dealer more than a month ago. Thanks.

The Reverend 03-17-2011 05:48 PM

Mine took a shade under 6 months not sure if they are caught up with their orders now

mine were ordered december 09

bumblebeerx8 03-17-2011 09:16 PM

im thinking these might be the new set i go with. I need some more ground clearence with the turbo piping but i dont want to loose the look of my 17s. they are 17x9.5 +30 on 255/40.

Ill pry go with 19x10 +33 that rishie suggested maybe 255 or 265/ 40 tire. Im thinking of going with the carbon fiber option and maybe a yellow time attack stripe. I should have a carbon roof once the weather breaks. Plus i may need some more rubber for the turbo set up.

what does every one think? Think i can fit them without a bunch of fender mods aside from more of a roll?

:Eyecrazy: wha... ? 6 months?!! geez... I really hope they have caught up with their orders... from what I've been told, my set are in the production for two weeks :fingersx: hopefully it's true and not just an order form piled under 12 inches of others.

I wonder how long others have waited?

tire profile is wrong, should be 35. will look great!

I received my first set of wheels roughly 3 weeks after ordering. They were the wrong color. They sent matte black with boxes labeled gunmetal and paperwork saying gunmetal. The wheels were sent back to Forgestar and they 'put in' another order. It was 3 months before I got the correct wheels. Honestly, Forgestar is a horrendous company with piss poor customer service. They refused to overnight the wheels when THEY screwed up. They had to be constantly nagged to give updates on the order and even then, they lost the order somewhere and it didn't go into their system for over a month. If these weren't literally the only wheels I've liked, I would have cancelled my order and gone elsewhere. I am happy with the quality of the wheels but I would never deal with Forgestar ever again.

Ouch! Cant say I dont agree with you but Ouch. Got my rims orders this winter in about three months. They do really make one hell of a product for the price.

:) we were all newbs once. If you want the "rubber band on rim" look for your rim and tire choice I would have to recommend against it if you care about performance and drive-ability.

I highly recommend reading this: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/will-fit-thread-133500/ I would consider it required reading for anyone wishing to go with anything other then stock sizes.

The forgestar F14 is an excellent choice if you wish for something very custom as they will make the rim to your size, color and width of your choosing... It is not a good choice for the impatient just ask WinningRX8Chick! There also better places in the forum to discuss proper sizing.

the only reason im thinking 40 on the tire over 35 is with the 40 i will gain around 2" of clearence underneath. With the 35 i wil only gain 1-1.25" and im not sure that is enough. I have about 1.5-2" now and have rubbed the t bolt clamps a few times.

Why not use the proper tires and raise your suspension? I assume from your sig you are running the Endura-tech coilovers? Do they not go high enough for your needs?
