Whelp....looks like tire install will have to be NEXT weekend. Lug nuts ordered from Amazon are still not in yet and should be mid-week. So the whole fender roll process and mount up will be done next weekend unfortunately. Rims look so sexsay with the Hankook tires mounted up waiting for action......getting anxious :eyetwitch

The Reverend 05-16-2010 03:21 PM

rs3's?

Vlaze 05-16-2010 03:25 PM

V12's

Vlaze 05-16-2010 08:32 PM

Also wanted to note, the rim weighed roughly around 21.8 lbs averaging, and with the Hankook 255/40 combo, it came in a rough average of 49 lbs contrast to the stockies average of 48 lbs. So for adding 2 in more of wheel width (18x10) not to mention a low offset of +28 and only having 1 more lb in weight total, I'm satisfied with it.

So guys hopefully late next week the good news of shipping will begin. just take that with a grain of salt. I am told the batch of 18's are scheduled for final machining next week. We shall have to wait and see if it happens. Just letting you know what I am told.

the higher offset 18x10 will definitely be lighter due to a thinner mating pad.

Thanks, Rishie

Atilla 05-19-2010 01:15 PM

Rishie, will you be calling or emailing us a notification when they're ready next week?? i'd like to get my hands on them as soon as possible.

Endless Rotaries 05-19-2010 01:29 PM

Yes of course, otherwise how would you get these wheels? lol.

Rishie

Atilla 05-19-2010 01:35 PM

whatever man, i was hoping you would just call me instead of pming or emailing because i don't check it as frequently any more - lol.

As soon as you give me word that they're ready i'm throwin' my work pile on the floor n' walkin' out lol

The Reverend 05-19-2010 01:37 PM

where are we going to be picking these up from? (city at least)

As promised Rishie, there you go :)

Still have some work left to do before the car is ready with the new tire/rims. I'll post up some final pics on the street when it's all done which hopefully should be Sunday.

Atilla 05-20-2010 10:27 PM

Looks awesome :bigok:

I honestly can't wait to see mine - seeing another SS w/these wheels makes me teary eyed :tear:

but yeah...

hey 'laze

i can see your wheel gap from here ;)

Vlaze 05-21-2010 05:23 AM

 Well I have the details in the aggressive thread about that. I already plan on lowering more and noted there is more work to be done. Rears are gonna go down another 1/2 - 3/8" max and front 1/4 max. Can only fit 1 finger between the front tire and fender, rears 2. Rear's are going to be around 25 7/8" from fender to ground and fronts 25 3/4". It's not as low as some you see over there but any lower and it's gonna hit with the shit roads we have over here. They're quite brutal.

Keep in mind the car already is lowered, just needs to be lowered more ;)

adamwzl 05-21-2010 06:53 AM

looks sexy vlaze. cant wait to seem them in person

Atilla 05-21-2010 08:28 AM

'laze; i was just bustin' you bro - shit looks great - i'm just jealous that i don't have mine yet :(

Vlaze 05-21-2010 08:32 AM

'nilla I know, just that I'm not completely satisfied with the wheel gap myself :D:

Look at it this way, you'll have a different color than mine on the SS, so it WILL look different ;). We could be like the SS F14's bro's rolling into SS 13 :bigok: Unless I can't afford it :suspect:

What width/offset you get and color?

adamwzl 05-21-2010 08:35 AM

I just ordered new wheels/shocks/springs :) for ss13 hehe

Atilla 05-21-2010 08:36 AM

18x10 :D:

my offset is borderline aggressive only because i wanted to run 275's on all four corners :D:

i'll be buying another set of wheels that are far more aggressive but i wanted something that can put down a lot of rubber to the road. :D:

Still 18x10 tho :D: - like i've been saying - i've been stuck on this porn star's mentality regarding the width; 'If it ain't at least 10inches - i ain't fuckin' with it' :D:

Vlaze 05-21-2010 08:38 AM

275's are run a lot but mostly by those who use narrower rims than 10" and auto x with them.

cough up the offset numbas and tire you're getting :suspect:

Atilla 05-21-2010 09:34 AM

shhhhhhhh - secrets :suspect:

The Reverend 05-21-2010 09:35 AM

+38 w/ 205's I think

that's not a typo :suspect:

Atilla 05-21-2010 09:36 AM

+38 w/25mm spacers ftw!

Vlaze 05-21-2010 10:15 AM

 you can't be serious. That does not sound like a 'nilla tactic :suspect:

Atilla 05-21-2010 11:25 AM

yeah, def not serious

i got the specs i wanted the first time around - i won't need spacers :)

angeljoelv 05-21-2010 12:01 PM
