Question New Tires And Pads... Need Help!

Hi, I'm in great need of advice. My stock Brigdgestones are pretty much bald. I only have 15K miles on the car and I can't decide which tires to get. I want to try 245/40R18 Kumhos, Falkens, or Bridgestones ALL SEASON. As well as brake pads. Should I stick to stock or upgrade to something better?? Please help!...Thanks

you might be interested in ceramic hawk pads, not that expensive over stock plus they make ALOT less noise and alot less dust. As for tires its up to you, good size choice though, i have 245/40/18

15k miles sounds about right for the stock tires, but you shouldn't need new pads so soon.

many seem to like hawk hps pads.

aren't stock tires 225/45? Why would you want to go to thinner 40s?

I think they would, I seen quite a few 245/40R18 tires on RX8's. By the way thanks guys i think I'm going to go with Falkens.

245/40/18 is a very common size for people replacing their OEM's. I went with that size when I put on Kumho MX's.

I've heard VERY good things about Kumho's All-Season tires

the 245 / 40 18 and the 225 / 45 18 are almost the same dia... important for the speedo...

you are in daytona... wtf do you need all seasons for?? if you just run street the kumho spt are great for the money and great in the rain... if you auto x or track the mx is a better choice.

also i saw a lot of falken 615s at the last track day i was at...

as to pads... unless you have done a bunch of track days the stock pads are fine... they will last a long time..

beers

Well, 245/35/19 is almost the same diameter as the oem tires too, but over the last 40k miles, I've added several hundred miles to my odometer that the car didn't actually drive.
