Finally at long last I've finally put my 19" Wheels on my car. These are Advan AVS Model 5 rims (19x8jj ET+45) wearing Bridgestone RE050A 225/40 R19 XL 93Y tyres. I bought them a year ago, but only now put them on the car when I needed to change tyres.

I wanted to get larger wheels mainly for looks, but the principle strength of this car is in it's handling. So I wanted to minimise the effect this change would have on the handling or balance of the car. To this end, I've gone for the same wheel and tyre size all round in order to keep it as close as possible to the original spec.

Also, I not want to introduce any undue stresses on the suspension components by using wheels with a substantially different offset to the stock wheels. So I took a long time picking a style of wheel that looked good with an offset as close to the stock +50mm.

I got them last year. But only put them on now when I needed to change tyres.

There are a few dealers of JDM wheels here in the UK who import to order. I got them to blind quote against each other and succeeded in getting them for quite a good price. It was a 10 week wait from order to delivery.
