You're in L.A. What would be the sense in running an all season tire? You've got a great performance car so don't underutilize it by scrimping on proper rubber. Each corner of the car is making a small sheet of paper size contact with the road; maximize that, and enjoy the benefits it provides. If your budget is only 500 you'd be looking at the ES100 and the SPT tires. The Kumhos can he had for $93 each on treadepot.com. You can print out the page and bring it in to a local store and ask them to match. If it was me, I'd spend a little more and upgrade several notches in performance to something like RE050 PPs- more and more people running these on their 8s these days. I've had 'em on my FD for over a year now and it's a great tire, albeit with a short tread life relative to some of the 40,000 milers.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that Tirerack doesn't necessarily have the best prices (or carry all the brands). Roadwaywholesaletire.com is about $15 a tire cheaper on the Bridgestones I mentioned vs. the big chief.

OEM pads and Kumho SPT's are good cheap replacements. Don't buy ES100's they are possibly one of the WORST modern tires ever made.

Is this your third set of tires? I'm thinking you didn't get 50K out of the OEM tires.
