Modifying stock 18" rims

Hi guys,

I hope your having a nice long weekend.

I have a 2006 GT manual rx8.

I want to have that "chrome" look on my rims, but can't afford to buy new rims.

Have any of you guys tried to add that chrome look onto your stock rims?

LOL,

For some reason, I thought it would cost much cheaper.

I don't think I can afford to this this right now.

I think I'll just stick to the fender stakes, and the shiny rotors below the front and rear bumpers.

No silver lips. I extremely dislike the new trend towards black wheels with polished lips. In fact I dislike polished lips as well as chrome wheels in general (unless it's black chrome). Just my taste.

Cool Just do it.....

There is a DIY thread, on how to polish your own wheels....

Some people think the lustre of a polished wheel to be a little more subdued than the bling-bling of chrome.

This wheel is as good as it gets -

to do it right is a TON of work, guess I'm getting old because I'd rather pay the piper than go to all that trouble, but if you having nothing other than time and energy then be my guest ...
