mismatched tires

1 tire is not the same brand as the other 3, but it is the same size.

Would that mess with the TPMS at all ?

thanks

No. The sensors are independent of the tires and pressure is pressure, no matter what brand is holding it in.

but why would u want something like that?

diff brands , even same size, got different thread designs and its not really good to drive around with different tractions.

Bought some used rim/tires with a mismatched tire. I have a TPMS warning light, trying to see if I need to replace a sensor.

a friend of mine raced all last season on 4 different used tires... and he was FAST. LOL!
Won't hurt your TPMS, but the car ride will be noticeably nosier.

If your getting a warning light, they may have knocked your sensor around when installing the tire. Its not really a big deal. Just follow the steps to reset it (i believe its in the DIY forum). If that doesnt work... yeah, they may have broke it.

MAZDA has a way of diagnosing which one is broken with the car intact

Humm. So you would have to take the car to a Mazda dealer so they can look at it. That sucks.
