No idea why you chose something that is narrower than stock wheels, but yes 245/40/18 will fit.

Personally a 245 on a 8" rim is just about too much

With a 7.5" rim you'll want no more than a 235

Eh, those only come in 18x8 +40. Keep searching for a wheel that will fill out the fender a bit more

If your limit is $200 a wheel...Don't buy anything. Save up and get something that will last and you will like..

lol no way really?

my tire guy said it was a pain in the *** to fit 255's on the 8".

btw 255's flush with the wheel, or it did on mine, looked good.

do u know where a link to that thread or pic maybe?

Yeah Ive seen 285's on the stock rims and I refused to ride in the car. Too scary.

This is basically how it should work:

8" rim: 245 or thinner
8.5" : 255 or thinner
9" : 265 or thinner
9.5" : 275 or thinner

and so on...

i found some enkei rpf1 for a pretty nice price here in houston my only concern is that they are 17X9 +20, dont know if 17 inch would look that great on the rx8. They also come with tires that are BFG G-sport 255/40-17 tires 97% tread life left and Khumo MX 225/45-17 tires 60%. What do yall think?

are you kidding?? $200 is a lot of money per wheel. Rims are going to last a long time unless they ruined by some kind of accident.

TopGear is right, unless you dont care about weight and longevity. You can buy a set of wheels for $400 if you want, but dont expect them not to bend when you hit a big pothole. Those types of rims ALWAYS weigh more than stock; I guarantee you that.

Also, it is very easy to tell the difference between cheap rims and good rims; Paint, how the rim is made, etc.

IMO 17's are only good for the track; I wouldnt rock them for DD'ing.

Wierd that the set has staggered tires also. +20 will need fender rolling.
