Line Locks

Whats up, i have done a bit of digging around and have not found much on here about using a line lock. If any of you have used this on your 8 let me know. Also does you guys think this would come with any issues? as far as all the electrical such as abs etc.. let me know what you think. thanks. For drag use ofcourse

I don't think you'll find much info on this since the 8 isn't really a good drag car. I wish you luck though. I'm sure someone on here knows where you can get started at least, even if it hasn't been done.

Fun in a 3000lb object doesn't happen by driving recklessly in open, public areas.
It happens on closed courses where variables can be controlled or minimized.

You, sir, are either incredibly immature or a troll. In either case, this makes you a bad guy.

May you remove yourself from the gene pool before you remove somebody more worthy.

You can hardly consider a parking garage "open"

Fast drivers in garages is one of my greatest pet peeves -_-

Did i say fast driving? No. And you know me right? Tell me.. So i blow a smokey in the corner of a parking garage makes me a bad guy. Go ahead and tell me either of you have never done one bad thing in a vehicle or ever broken a law. Please. Once you do you will have room to tell me im a bad guy for for rippin a doughnut in a damn parking garage. Untill then pound sand because you both are obvously perfect.. RIGHT. Or else your 55 years old and ofcourse your children would never do anything fun. People like you **** me off alot. I spend 2x 18 month tours in Iraq but you have nothing better to do but nit pick me for rippin a ****** doughnut. MY BAD.

Ah, no. I've never raced anybody on the street. I've never even attempted to do this.

You see, there are people out there that weren't morons even when they were young and immature.

Dude, chill out. You made a post and people picked at it, big deal - you should have just dropped it.

Better to have people think something of you than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Ironic, huh? "GO MORONS"

I don't see why "fun" has to = "unsafe" or "dumb"
I have plenty of fun without unnecessarily endangering others. In your self-righteous defense of the indefensible, you have fallen prey to at least two logical fallacies (ad hominem, false dichotomy, probably more). If you could actually come up with a reasonable argument, people might take you more seriously. Simply saying "I should be allowed to because I want to and it doesn't matter if somebody might get hurt and you're a poopoohead for not letting me" is really, really juvenile.

Your assertion that people like me are causing the downfall of America would carry more weight if you could actually spell and construct a sentence at an 8th grade level.

I'm sad that you feel you have to end this conversation. I was just getting warmed up.

no thats fine, ill keep it goin. i enjoy reading your college educated statements like their going to get your point across. and i do not see everything like, ill do what i want and i dont care what anyone thinks. so i burned a doughnut in a parking garage. noone was around and it was used as a figure of speech. but you had to blow it up like its something when its nothing. use your super educated crap for something else besides ******* with me. i did no harm to you or anyone else. so take a chill pill sunshine. go drive your car

We didn't blow it up. We just called you bad. You're the one who blew it up.

I never said anything about being super educated. Hell, I graduated in the bottom 1% of my high school class and flunked out of college 10 years ago. Are you sure you aren't being just a little insecure?

Go drive your car on a track?

Go drive your in an autocross?

You brought up a subject that's at times pretty personal with people. I take it personally when some moron peels out in the parking lot and hits my car (it's happened before). So if we're being hostile, it's because people like you do stupid pranks like that and raise MY insurance rate. On top of that, it's people like you that ask the same dumb questions about some irrelevant products like line locks......and you wonder why people get annoyed?

The guys you just contested and mouthed off to are probably some of the people that MIGHT be of help if you ever have issues with your car.

And don't hate on people that have a college education. I don't hate on anyone that doesn't have one. Come to think of it, one of the most well paid guys at the office here doesn't have a degree. He sure as hell makes up for it though with the way he carries himself.

It's not our fault that you didn't apply yourself.

Hey, I'm the last person to question your career path. I tried college at my parent's insistence and it didn't work. Now I make more than both of them in IT without a college degree (mom has Masters degree and is "all but dissertation" for her PhD; step-dad has PhD and is a tenured professor).

The problem we have is that you have described behavior that is irresponsible and viewed as unacceptable by the majority. The RX-8 is car that has an older demographic than many low-cost sportscars and what's cool in the Honda or Scion forums won't necessarily work here and we are going to point it out to you when you step over the line.

We're all about helping each other out here and we welcome all people but you've got to know your audience and understand that some topics are going to get you flamed. Your attitude is important with respect to how people perceive you and people's perception of you will dictate how they treat you.

Look, no blood, no foul. I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot here. I hope you find the answers you seek and I also hope you find a better place to have your fun. How about a race track with open/public nights?
