you didn't win convincingly, you weren't the fastest driver either day, you're just a legend in your own mine, but certainly not among your fellow drivers
Its all fun and games as long as Mark is the one making fun. Dont dish it out if you cant take it. Call it what you want, over half a second is not convincingly in your world, that is fine. Natls is not always about being the fastest both days, BS in 2004 won by a guy who was not quick time either day, it is about being fast enough to win. I had the quick time at natls the first day in 2004 in AS, got me a 5th place when it was all over. All you do is talk trash about how good your setup is and you are the man, everyone else stuff sucks, but from what I see everyone else beat you. If these guys dont want to use my setup that is ok with me. Unlike some people I dont try to hide it or give misinformation. Funny how every time you get a new car the BMW, Corvette and now RX8 you are the man at setting it up and yet you have not managed to win once. Maybe STU will be your ticket.

Either that, or we should call Pinks and see whether they will do a special autocross episode.

Its hard to argue with a National Championship.

Now ladies I know its that time of the month for you, 1 month after the end of the season makes me a little moody.

But lets be civil.
What setup up are you running Jason?

Even if you could duplicate his setup exactly, and even if it was the best setup for him to use, are you going to be able to drive like him, too?

It must be the best most easy to use setup if a hack like me can win.

btw this is civil... No one talks more trash than me. As for Mark, that is just how he is.

Naturally! He's a hack I have youth and aggression on my side, I didn't go once this season tho But I'm blaming that on the evacs from NO's and the hole it drilled in my wallet.

Will a 48mm offset on a SSR comps rub with 245/40s? and if not with 245/40's anything larger? Both on an 8" rim and a 9.5" wheel?

Come on, I am not that old.

The 245s have lots of room in the fenders. We have also seen 275s on 9.5 on a lowered car with no run.

OK so I know the SSR with a 48mm offset is legal in BS. But I cant find any to buy.
So I have 2 questions.

1. What is the exact stock offset?

2. What is the next lightest wheel with an offset that lets me stay in BS?

With all my searching the Enkei RPF1 is the lightest at 17.8lbs but a 35 mm
offset. Which probably wont work. But I dont know what the exact stock offset is.
I think the next best choice would be the Enkei RPM2 at 19.4lbs with a 45 mm offset. But is that even worth it because the stock wheels which I now use are just over 20lbs?

stock offset is 50mm for the 18 x 8 wheels, you can use any 18 x 8 wheel with an offset range of44 - 56mm and still be B Stock legal

I think that Enkei RPM2 is about it right now. There was a OZ Superlagger (sp) I think that is what DKNV has and they are about 19lbs. The stock wheels there are two vendors, one is around 20lbs the other 23lbs. Not sure which is which. There are a few months till spring, so you have lots of time to shop. Not sure what if anything CCW can build, I hear they have some new wheels that will be out soon.

are those all RX-8 fitments? I seriously doubt it.

A general weight doesn't apply. It has to be the correct pattern, offset, and brake clearance for the vehicle in question to be accurate. It's also well proven that smaller size is not necessarily lighter either.

The same rim with a smaller width will be lighter then the same rim with a larger width at least for any example i've ever seen.

Yeah important to note that a lighter rim won't nessessarly be faster, its better if the weight is more toward the center then on the outside edge.

As for fitment on the Rx-8 I didn't look it was enought to xfer all that from a copy protected PDF. feel free to cross out the ones that aren't

if you want to post inaccurate info it's not my place to scratch it out

it's just like the database stickied at the top of this area; what's the point of having a weight database without any correlation to an application

in particular I'd like to know where you can get a BBS RE-Mag in an 18 x 8 RX-8 fitment, the only ones I know of were special ordered for BMW applications, and their 18 x 9.5 @ 38mm in that fitment only weighs 0.2 lb less than the Enkei RPF1 that Goodwin racing is selling, but costs 4x as much

Was going off a post on a BWM board of someone running 18x8's RE-MG's it was in his signature when I was looking for images of the RE.

And like a said before i was mearly giving a listing of the lightest possible wheels made, in 18" so that someone could easily reference it if you would like to research which have available Rx-8 fitments that would be helpful to everyone if your willing.

Yeah but comon now how much nicer do those RE's look than the Enkei's
