Knocking noise after alignment with new springs.

I just got an alignment after putting on some tein s tech springs. And now it seems that the front wheels make some weird nose like its hitting something. Before the alignment there was no noise and it was just fine.

Is it possible that I put too much caster in the front? I set it at 7.1 because I heard maxing out caster was the best option for autocross.

Or do you think its something else? I don't think I put the strut back together wrong because I would have heard noise before I got the alignment. Thanks.

Is it rotational...or only when you go over bumps?

We need more information to try and help you with this

if you didn't hear the noise before, but you do now after the alignment, I would give the suspension arms a once over. I have seen a few people on here who complained about noises only to find that the adjustment cams were not torqued down properly.

It's when I go over bumps or holes. Mostly holes, on some speed bumps it won't even make a noise, but almost always when I go over a pot hole.

And I will try tightening everything, I only took the wheel off to see anything was loose around the control arm.

Check the end links..they are a common noise if they are loose

This could also be the lower control arm bushings binding. The cam bolt in the LCA joint has been known to seize with the metal sleeve inside the bushing. Once you change the camber setting, this issue comes to the surface. With the cam bolt seized to the metal sleeve, you essentially create a preload on the bushing when the camber is set outside of the previous range.

This happened to me, and the only fix is to replace the LCA bushings and cam bolts. It is a big PINA, and even dealerships have issues with pressing the old bushings out.

This.

And if you have adjustable endlinks, dont underestimate the value of tightening the nut that locks in the adjusted height.
