The BF Goodrick KDW2's might be a good option for you. Or the Pirelli P Zero Nero's. There are quite a few classifications. Not sure where you live but if like you say it rain a lot you are probably better off going with an aggressive All Season Ultra High Perofrmance tire (the ones mentioned above). There are "summer" tires that will give you better grip but may not be very good for wet traction. Tires are usually classified in a couple catagories :

Max Performance tires - Ultimate grip
Ultra High Performance tires
High Performance tires
Touring tires

Also there are single season "summer" tires & All Season (Good wet & dry traction tires.

Your best bet is to go to Tire Rack (www.tirerack.com) to learn about tires.

Never been a fan of colored rims (unless they are the same color as the car, i.e black on black).

A number of us have gone with the Pirelli PZero Nero, an all-season tire which tirerack classifies as ultra-high-performance, has great handling in wet and dry weather, and good handling in snow. There is a whole thread devoted to this one tire.

Options for max-performance summer tires include the OEM Bridgestones and Dunlops.

I am not a fan of colored rims, either, but you are the one that has to be happy with how your car looks. Tire change time is always a good opportunity for new wheels.
