Howlong can you drive on the yellow spare?

how long can you drive on the yellow spare in the mazda rx8?
how long and how fast...what are its capabilities?...
just info...need to drive it from place to place to get new rim etc.

i thought spares can only last around 40miles and u cant go too fast on them, btw u should put the spare on the front wheel and move the good tire to the back wheel so you dont destory ur LSD

My '8 doesn't have a spare. Is that a 40th Anniversary thing?

No, it was an option on all models, I believe.

Huh. The dealership never presented it as an option, just "the car doesn't have a spare." Makes me wonder what else I could/should have gotten!

If you really want the spare tire kit then watch the for sale section. I think they usually go for $150.
