Now back to being not sure what coilovers to get... lol
No problem. If there are any more questions you may have about our products, please feel free to contact me either by phone, email, or PM. If you have real nitty-gritty technical questions, you may email them at info@jic-magic.com

Just to make things clear, this was an isolated event. You have imagine how many sets we sell everyday and how many people are satisified. So, once in while, we'll have issues of this sort and some people just can't be satisfied. Even though we try our hardest to help him, he wouldn't comply. We try to accomodate as much as we can.

I'm glad that I can be on this forum to help you all out and that way you have more of a personal connection with our company. Thank you all for your open minds and replies.

Yukio impresses me more and more... not only did he write a valid reason of why that other vendor was being a numbnut, but also how he would resolve any issues with JIC products.

I think that's what anyone would want from a company, someone that can respond intelligently, handle situations quickly, and deal with their customers honestly.

Wish other companies would chime in here sometimes...

I'm glad that I can put my imput and defend JIC. I truly stand behind our products and as long as you maintain then, make sure that they are clean, not abused they can last for a long time without a rebuild.

For example, our S13 drift car has been to over 55+ events and practices over 3 year span with the SAME FLT-A2's and they're still running strong. We're talking about 2-3 day events and all day hard drifting by our drivers and all day practices that go on for two days at a time. We have not had to do any kind of rebuild or over haul because we made sure that every hard event, we inspected them and made sure that they are in working order.

Take care of the coilovers and they will take care of you. That goes for any performance aftermarket product in the market.

Just keeping them free from excessive amounts of moisture (such as leaving them underwater which we have seen before), make sure that there is not much dirt where the damper shaft is and that to make sure the dust boot cover is not torn.

Also, we've seen instances where people went off a curb or a ditch and claimed that "they just started leaking". When we recieve them, there is obvious trauma to the piston inside the damper. Other than that, just keep them clean, don't abuse your car (which I doubt many people do here), and always keep an eye out on them.

I hate when people freak out about a product over one bad experience.

If you decide not to buy JICs because of one bad experience then you better go sell your rx-8 RIGHT NOW! Look at how many people have had bad experiences with their engines and with Mazda as a whole. Still keeping the car aren't you?

And now a word from a happy vendor. As the owner of Good-Win Racing I deal with a lot of suppliers. I have consistently had excellent service with JIC. I pick up the phone and reach a human being quickly. Our customers are very often seeking custom spring rates for custom applications of RX8s or Miatas and JIC is consistently willing to do custom setups...not something I find true of many other coilover suppliers. Our orders have consistently been filed quickly...

As George noted, I run JICs in my own STU RX8 and recently took a first in class here in San Diego. Been happy enough with the JICs to order one of the first sets available for installation in our Winning Blue all new 06 MX-5.

And now a word from a mixed customer. I ordered one of the first FLT-A2's for the RX-8 over a year ago. For whatever reason they came with springs for a different car on the rear. On one hand I called JIC and they replaced them with the correct parts without any "work through your dealer and have a copy of your receipt" nonsense. On the other hand I had to uninstall the OEM shocks, try to install the wrong springs, reinstall the OEM shocks, uninstall the OEM shocks and finally install the JICs. I also had to pay for return shipping on the wrong springs, which I felt was unfair.
