The steering wheel becomes very light and the its handling quality loses at this speed and above. In fact, at speed of 180k/h, my previous BMW 318i was doing better in term of handling.

I want a firm handling at high speed. I was upset and was thinkling about lowering this car and putting 19" rims, but I would like to know if this has anything to do with RE040? Maybe just change the tires to S-03 will help? My car is 2 weeks old and I do not want to change the suspension or the rims now.

Get an alignment first - factory alignments aren't guaranteed to be very good, and setting the camber, caster, and toe values can make a world of difference. Tires will be very little factor to what you're feeling.

That's only 180kph == 112 mph.... I don't get it.

Oh wait, I have coilovers now and a few other goodies... especially tires.

Alignment settings are more noticeable at higher speeds, so definately check into an alignment designed for your driving.... possibly not the stock settings!

Just keep on the track if you are going that fast!

200 Km/h is around 124 Mile/h

Has anyone notice this? The steering becomes very light at this speed and above. No feeling of firm control at all.

BTW, anyone knows camber, caster, and toe values for RX-8?

I'd blame the aerodynamics before the alignment. A front spoiler to reduce airflow beneath the car would be where I'd start.
