^^ it doesn't. I work hard for everything I have. I've had quite a few rides in my short years, its true. Trades :P I've just seen enough out of a different number of coils, all of which I drove daily, to understand my needs based on the results and experiences therein. I'll put it to you all this way; I would certainly not be opposed to properly installing and testing a pair of $400 dollar Ricelands, if for no other reason than to have actual firsthand experience and testimony to validate, and maybe even help improve the product in the end.. It shouldn't be an evil thing that a company is trying to offer a fair value for the price of the raw materials and the machinery work involved. They're constructed the same as most coils that cost hundreds more, but they require the use of your OEM tophats, which isn't even a bad thing in my book anyways... coils are a pretty inflated commodity, even considering R&D;

On the contrary, would I rather have a nicer set? sure. And i probably will in a few short years. But I don't see that as my greatest priority. Like I said, I will put the rest of that (and first, mind you) towards maintaining the motor and tranny on my 8. Brakes, and probably a small bit of cooling to be safe

There is far too much bandwagoning in the motoring culture. A lot of it stems from legitimate function and principle but a lot of it too is just rhetoric and straight up hatred. If you break it down it isn't all that critical.

In what world is taking a car with 4" of ground clearance and lowering it 3" not slamming it?

^^the one in which I used to scrape lane reflectors off the road and even the road itself should it be uneven. XD there's a solid 3 inches of wheel gap alone.

I will adjust my ride height to an optimal, comfortable level with the 8. Just gotta get to that point and see where I want it. This won't be for a while anyways and I'll probably go with a slightly more expensive setup. Nevertheless, I stand by the fact that Racelands on the 8 at least pique my interest, to the point that i just wanna see them installed and hear some first hand feedback. Just curious, is all.

Now, without further delay, I leave you with a Farley. This thread deserves nothing less

I know I'm bringing back a thread that's been dead for a while, but I figured I'd give my feedback on my Raceland Coilovers on my 2010 RX-8.
I've had them installed since April and with the shitty Colorado roads I've noticed a little more stiff ride, but having them maxed out it probably doesn't help. Other than that the ride isn't too bad and the coils have been abused on mountain runs and the many potholes of Denver.
If anyone has any questions about these coils feel free to message me.
Oh btw here's a picture of my 8.

Why did you buy an RX-8 if it wasn't for the handling and practicality?

What's so practical about a car that gets 15mpg city? Handling on my car is as good if not better when I slammed it, yeah it's a little rough, but oh well #becauseracecar
The rx8 is my weekend car anyway and I daily a Mazda 6.
