G2 Caliper Paint: How durable is it really?
Ok, this is my first post as I am new to the forum, so I hope I'm doing everything correctly, don't laugh...
I recently painted my calipers with the G2 paint application back in the spring, I ended up using 3 coats of the stuff and I thought the paint was going to be there for the long haul . But I had taken my car into the dealer this last week for a service bulletin on front brake pad squeeking. They ended up replacing the front pads, but when I got the car back, I noticed they did some serious damage to the caliper paint. There are plenty of spots where the paint has been completely chipped off to expose the bare caliper underneath. I was highly dissapointed with this discovery, and I hate to think how 6 hours of painting has now gone to waste. Has anyone had this issue when replacing the pads, should I expect the coating to chip when replacing pads? I guess I'm wondering if I have a valid complaint with the dealer for doing a sloppy job, or if I will just be pushed aside. Let me know, thanks.
