Found the wheels, having problems with tires

I want these wheels
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-AD...3458QQtcZphoto
But the included tires are going to make my speedo read incorrect. The seller does offer another size, but they too will put the speedo off. I have already messaged the seller and requested yet another size, offering to pay more, and their response was that they do not offer that size.

I COULD buy the wheels separately, and look for tires elsewhere, but that's going to cost MUCH more. $750 shipped for both VS. $490 for wheels shipped and ATLEAST $450 shipped for tires (Total > $900)

Any ideas guys? I need new tires figured I could get a package deal on wheels while I'm at it.

Because the offered tire sizes are larger in diameter than the 225/45/18 Bridgestones that come stock. Minimum difference with those tires is 3.3% slower.

Come on guys. I don't want to just buy any other wheels.... I need to find cheap tires or find these wheels in a package deal elsewhere.

Thanks. But I need new tires! The low treadwear rating of the Bridgestone's strikes again....

BTW, saw the tire size, 225/40 won't throw off your speed too much. maybe +2mph. I have 245/40 and cant tell a noticeable difference. it works for me.

Because the difference is only 0.8% for you.... with 225/40, the difference is 4 times that at 3.3%. I agree, not the end of the world, but when it's putting extra miles on your car that you are not infact driving..... kinda sucks.

its the same difference. 245 vs 225 is only tire width, has no effect of hight. 40 is the size of the sidewall. its all the same.

but to each his own, i understand if you dont want the difference. personally i could care less

that's not true, 40 is the aspect ratio, and NOT the size of the sidewall. a 225/40 vs a 245/40 width tire has a taller sidewall, it's not the same!

^yup, he is very right, aspect ratio is simply the ratio of the size of the sidewall as compared to the width of the tire. 285/30 is much taller than a 225/35
