Had some new tires installed this weekend by the dealer. They scratched up the outter part of all four OEM rims, I'm guessing with the machine they used. Service advisor said they even took it over to the BMW side of the house and used their equipment to do it. He said they will have an outside company come over and refinish them. Anyone have any experience with this? Do they leave the tires installed? Think I can get in with the company before, and have them refinish them darker, like a gun metal, or a dark bronze?

 

Probably depends on the price. The dealer is not going to pay a penny more than what it will take to restore them to factory specs, guaranteed.
